Submission Guidelines

White Noise Publishing is the standard for storybuilding.

As a premium hybrid publisher, we're  dedicated to authors, creators, and storytellers—whether you've mastered your craft or need a little help (or both).

Our goal is to amplify authentic voices through professional production and high-touch mentorship. We're here to connect you to the dream.

What We Seek

We accept literary fiction, narrative non-fiction, and select submissions that demonstrate potential for resonance with society and culture. Work must be both original and complete.

What We Exclude

We do not accept anything made with AI.

We also do not accept erotica, fan fiction, or any work which would be damaging to the culture or our reputation.

As a merit-based publisher, we reserve the right to tell you no.

What to Prepare for Your Submission Package

Query Letter: Send us a one-page professional letter containing a brief author bio and your relevant credentials (or platform).

Synopsis: This is not your back-cover blurb or marketing copy but a high-level summary (500–1,000 words) outlining the whole plot—including the ending. Your synopsis must reveal the resolution so our staff can properly judge the quality and potential of the submission.

Comps: Provide a list of 2–3 pieces, in any media format including books, that are similar in tone or audience to your submission.

AI Policy

The use of generative AI, other than for research or project management, is strictly prohibited. Any manuscript “written” with AI will be rejected. Please do not test this policy. It's about integrity.

Technical Specs for Your Files

  • We only accept Microsoft Word (.docx) files.

  • 12-point Garamond or Arial font.

  • Lines should be double-spaced with 1” margins on all sides.

  • Page numbers and headers must show Author’s Name / Book Title on every page.

  • We only want to see your first three chapters (or a maximum of 50 pages).

  • Your sample must start from page one (no “best chapters” from the middle of the book).

* Response Time: Please allow 4-6 weeks for initial review. Due to volume, we cannot respond to every query, but we prioritize serious authors who follow these guidelines.

Ready to Submit Your Work?

Your creative work is valuable, and we handle it with care and discretion. We honor your rights as a creator and provide a thorough, professional review of every manuscript submitted through our portal.

If you're okay with the submission guidelines above, let's get started. We'll cover the basics first:

Who is your target audience and what are their characteristics? e.g. age, interests, other demographics?

Provide a list of 2–3 pieces, in any media format including books, that are similar in tone or audience to your submission.

Would you consider yourself to be a seasoned writer?

Yes or No

Yes or No

Would you say the manuscript is ready for editing?

Yes or No

Have you formatted the manuscript (justified text, indents, headings, page breaks, etc.)?

Yes or No

In this work, do you envision or have you inserted callout boxes, inline images, block quotes, captions, drop caps, bulleted lists, or other special formatting considerations we need to be aware of?

Yes or No

Have you published anything before?

Yes or No

What’s the one thing you want your reader to feel (or do) after finishing your book?

Are you looking for a service provider (like an editor), or would you rather partner with someone who will walk with you as you craft your work?

Choose One:
I just want a service provider.
I'm looking for someone who will walk with me and help me craft my work.

Do you have a vision for your work's purpose within culture and society, and if so, what do you see it doing out there?

What's your biggest fear regarding the publishing process?

What's your primary goal for this book: personal legacy, building a business/brand, starting a movement, or something else?

Anything else you want to add (are there any other questions we should have asked)?

Upload the first three chapters (maximum 50 pages) of your manuscript here. Note: Make sure your file is ready first. It must follow these guidelines:
